Port of Caio Province of Cabinda, Angola

To support economic growth in Cabinda, an exclave of Angola, a seaport is planned as part of a development master plan for the province. Construction of the port will be divided in two phases. In its final stage, the port will feature a total of 4 large berths with over 1,250 m of quay wall and dedicated jetties for liquid and solid bulk cargo. A total land area of approximately 65 ha will have to be reclaimed and protected with revetment and a breakwater. The port lies 2 km off shore and is reached by a 1,500 m causeway and a 500 m bridge. Seaward access is provided by an approach channel of 28 km in length.
